Enertec Batteries

Enertec Batteries, a wholesale battery manufacturer supplying into major automotive supply chains, manages a high volume of battery testing, warranty assessments, and operational inspections across multiple sites.

After successfully running a proof of concept, Enertec implemented AssetPool in March 2025 to replace paper-based processes and bring structure, visibility, and traceability to their operations.

Today, AssetPool is used across battery testing, compliance inspections, and fleet management—creating a centralized system for recording, reviewing, and acting on critical operational data.

Before AssetPool, Enertec relied entirely on paper books to manage defective battery testing and inspections.

This created several challenges:

  • Duplicate record keeping across different processes
  • Limited visibility into completed tests and outcomes
  • Manual capture of customer and dealer information
  • No standardized way to store supporting documentation such as certificates and photos
  • Slower turnaround when assessing warranty claims

1. Warranty Testing and Defective Battery Workflow

AssetPool is now central to how Enertec manages warranty validation.

When a defective battery is returned:

  • Technicians complete a structured digital test sheet
  • Key data is captured, including:
    • Branch name
    • Serial number
    • Fault description
    • Customer and dealer details
    • Battery condition and cleanliness
    • Expiry date and warranty information
  • Technical testing results such as charge, drain, and module performance are recorded directly in the system

Once completed:

  • Admin users receive a notification
  • The report is reviewed within AssetPool
  • A Warranty Replacement Advice (WRA) is issued based on the findings

This has fully replaced duplicate paper books and created a consistent, auditable workflow for every battery assessed.

2. Compliance and Proof with Photo-Backed Inspections

Enertec has expanded AssetPool beyond battery testing into health, safety, and compliance inspections.

A key advantage has been the ability to capture proof alongside every inspection, including:

  • Fire marshal details with certificate records
  • Fire permit disc photos
  • First aider details with certificate verification
  • Hazardous goods certificate photos
  • First aid box inspections with location tracking

By combining structured checklists with photo evidence, Enertec now has a clear, verifiable record of compliance across sites.

This has significantly improved accountability and audit readiness, ensuring that critical safety documentation is always accessible and up to date.

3. Fleet Inspections and Preventative Maintenance

AssetPool is also used to manage Enertec’s fleet inspections, supporting preventative maintenance and operational readiness.

Vehicle checklists include:

  • License disc verification
  • Odometer readings
  • Oil level checks with photo evidence
  • Damage reporting through images

In addition, AssetPool tracks upcoming service requirements, with automated reminders ensuring that maintenance is never missed.

4. Flexibility to Match Enertec’s Workflow

A key reason for AssetPool’s success at Enertec has been its flexibility.

The platform has been tailored to match Enertec’s internal processes, including:

  • Renaming system elements such as:
    • Sites to Regions
    • Asset Dashboard to Equipment Dashboard
  • Creating custom fields to capture critical data, such as:
    • Customer name (free text instead of dropdowns)
    • Warranty expiry month and year

This level of customization allows Enertec to manage complex workflows without being constrained by rigid system structures.

Following the success of the initial rollout, Enertec has continued to expand its use of AssetPool across multiple areas of the business. What began with defective battery testing has grown into a broader operational platform supporting fire extinguisher inspections, first aid and HSE checks, inverter and solar inspections, repair information tracking, and warranty replacement workflows.

Every inspection is now backed by clear, photo-based proof, giving the team full traceability and confidence in their records. With a system that has been tailored to match their workflows, Enertec now operates from a centralized platform that supports both daily operations and long-term growth.
